Feodosiya is situated on the southern shores of the Crimean Peninsula. Formerly known as the ancient colony of Theodosia it was supposed to be first inhabited in the 6th century BC. Feodosiya is a popular Crimean sea and health resort, boating beaches, mud baths, mineral springs, a rail terminus and a major Black Sea port. The Black Sea has long been a traditional sea resort area and tourists of all ages flock to the region every year. The great value of the mineral rich resources in Ukraine is reflected in the mineral baths of the area. Known for their healing properties they attract many of visitors during summer.
The climate is relatively mild with cold dry winters and average to warm summers. Whether taking a relaxing soak in one of the mineral springs or a enjoying the bustling nightlife in the heart of the city, there is always enough to do in Feodosiya.
