Vinnytsya has a rich history and used to be ransacked frequently by the Tatars. At some stage it even belonged to Poland before being passed over to Russia before the collapse of the Russian federation. Vinnytsya enjoys relatively long summers followed by short winters, therefore making it an all year round ideal destination. The main industries are folk handicraft and also electronics, agricultural, clothing, fertilizer and food processing. The region is well known for beautiful hiking and walking trails, historic buildings and their culture. Vinnytsya has its own philharmonic orchestra and used to be home to Tchaikovsky on many occasions, visitors to the area especially love the cultural aspect of the city.
Besides culture there is so much more to discover in Vinnytsya and this has seen a recent influx of property developers and home buyers snapping up some great bargains. Despite the rise of the Ukrainian economy in recent years, investors are keen to buy local property that allows them to either retire in the area or build a new business. Property owners might even be lucky enough to snap up a part of history by buying a historic building.
